Congratulations on having your paper accepted at the IEEE International Conference on Advanced Robotics (ICAR) 2023. To ensure that you deliver a successful presentation of your work at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, please follow the instructions below to prepare your presentation.
Each presentation is allocated a total of 15 minutes. You should plan for a 12-minute presentation followed by a 3-minute Question and Answer (Q&A) session. It is crucial to stick to this timeframe to ensure the conference schedule runs smoothly.
The presentation must be in Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT) or PDF format to ensure compatibility with the equipment provided at the conference venue.
Your slides should effectively summarize your research work, highlighting the main points, methodologies, results, and the significance of your work to the field of autonomous robotics.
Due to the large number of presenters at the IEEE ICAR conference, some authors have been assigned to poster presentations (Please check here). Additionally, authors presenting late-breaking results will also need to prepare poster presentations. The poster presentations will be conducted in two stages. First, authors must prepare a short teaser presentation, similar to oral presentations, lasting 3 minutes, which they will present to the audience (use oral presentation template for this). Additionally, they must prepare a poster that will be displayed in the exhibition hall and used during breaks for interactive discussions about their work. To effectively display your research at the IEEE ICAR conference, please adhere to the following guidelines for preparing your poster:
Your poster should be prepared in A1 size (23.4 x 33.1 inches).
Include the title of your paper, the authors' names and affiliations, and organize your content into sections such as Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, and References. Use headings and subheadings to guide the viewer.
Include charts, graphs, images, and any other visual aids that support your data. Ensure they are high-resolution to prevent pixelation when printed.
Keep the text concise and readable from a distance. Use bullet points and numbered lists to break up information. Use a color scheme that’s appealing but not overwhelming. Ensure there is a good contrast between the background and the text for readability.
To ensure the timely organization of the conference materials, we request that all final presentations and posters be submitted by the 26th of November, 2023, via the PaperPlaza portal. Please follow these steps for submission:
We look forward to your contribution to the field and a fruitful exchange of ideas at the conference. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the organizing committee at icar2023@icar-robotics.org.
